Field Spec
When a popular knife designer has a small batch produced, it's always exciting. In the case of BMKT's EDC1, this decision is not surprising because demand for Brendon Millekers most popular custom fixed is incredibly high. No wonder: after all, this compact EDC fixed is not only an extremely capable cutting tool, but also a real eye-catcher. The high blade provides a beautiful and eye-catching contrast to the slim, almost elegant handle finish.
The Bowie Blade of the EDC1 is made of Böhler's M390 steel, which has been given a robust stonewash finish. The large Torx screws that secure the micarta handle scales to the tang of the blade have also been given a similar matte finish.
Included with the knife is a snug-fitting Kydex sheath, so you can carry your EDC1 safely and easily in your pocket.
Did you know that the model for the Field Spec series was Heidi Blacksmith? Brendon Milleker is a huge fan of Heidi's knives. After Heidi's great success with his Heidi 1 - which is also made by Bestech - it was clear to Brandon that he wanted to follow a similar path to meet the high demand for his knives.

Giantmouse ACE Nimbus V2 Natural Canvas Micarta
New revised version
Design by Jesper Voxnaes and Jens Anso
Natural micarta handle and Elmax blade
This novelty makes the hearts of many fans of the big mouse beat faster: the Nimbus, one of the very early designs of GiantMouse, gets an update. Although a lot has changed, the knife has basically remained the same. The GiantMouse Nimbus is still not a saint - as the name of the knife suggests. On the contrary: this knife is a merciless workhorse with which you can really nibble something away.
Voxnaes and Anso were inspired by the old Danish motorcycle brand Nimbus, which was built from 1915 until late in the 1950s.
Now you are right to ask what a knife has to do with a motorcycle.
But the comparison is actually quite accurate: the motorcycle was not so much a racing machine as a 'workhorse', which also scored well in the off-road sector. With exactly this philosophy in mind, the Nimbus was designed.
A knife without frills and a blade that represents a modern interpretation of the Nordic puuko shape, with a bulbous curve that leads to a fine but robust tip that allows for fine cuts without any problems.
The function of the knife was also the main consideration in the choice of materials. The V2 version uses a 3D contoured Micarta, as we know it from the GiantMouse Ace Biblio. Micarta is not only very robust but can also be easily cleaned with a little water after work.
The liners, made of Asis 420 stainless steel, make the knife even more stable and the Liner Lock ensures that the blade is securely locked when open. In contrast to the first version, the Nimbus V2 now has washers made of phosphor bronze, which provide a little more stability and are very easy to clean. Also the blade has been updated: Böhler's Elmax steel is one of the best blade steels currently available in the industry. Here you get a 3.5mm thick blade, which is equally rust-resistant, tough and has good cutting properties and can handle even tougher cutting tasks effortlessly.
The Nimbus is clearly a real working knife that will find a new home in your toolbox, jacket pocket or work trousers.
GiantMouse ACE Grand
Elmax steel with satinfinish
Massive LinerLock
Titanium backspacer
Large, Larger, GRAND
Would you like a little more? GiantMouse dedicate their latest knife design mainly to fans of slightly larger folding knives. But everything in order. In the past, the GM5 was an extremely popular but also extremely hard to come by knife, which (like almost all models of the GM line) was immediately sold out. Now, with the new Grand, a slightly revised version of this sought-after knife is coming onto the market.Although there is a clear optical reference to the Biblio, this is by no means an enlarged version of the GiantMouse classic. The Micarta handle scales have a great satin finish and have a slightly clearer, more angular line than the Biblio. The practical deep carry clip has of course remained, which makes the knife disappear discreetly in your pocket despite its overall length of 20cm. Unlike the GM5, the Grand is equipped with a solid liner lock, which locks the knife bombproof. Additional stability is provided by a massive milled backspacer made of titanium.Jesper Voxnaes and Jens Anso have created a real eye-catcher with the blade. The swedge and the elegant curve of the tip give the Grand a very attractive appearance. For the steel GiantMouse chose Elmax, which was already used for the Clyde model. Elmax is not only able to be ground to a razor-sharp edge, but is also highly resistant to rust. The blade runs – just like the GM5 – on ball bearings and can be deployed easily. If the Biblio model has been a bit too small for you, this is definitely a fully-grown working knife that can handle even the toughest cutting jobs without a worry.By the way: the name of the knife was inspired by a hotel bar of the same name in Nuremberg. This is where the three heads of GiantMouse spent one or the other night after the IWA.

Böker Plus K.I.D. cal .50
sturdy ballpoint pen in a good pocket size
with bolt action bayonet mechanism
with pocket clip
EDC classic from Böker
The Böker Plus K.I.D. cal .50 is the compact version of the popular CID cal .40! Not only due to its slightly more compact dimensions, this pen has become one of the most popular Every Day Carry pens of recent years. Slightly shorter, but minimally thicker, the cal. 50 offers an excellent handle position. Due to the rather classic clip, it can also be stowed very comfortably in the pockets of yor pants. The ingenious bolt action bayonet mechanism provides a pleasant mechanical feedback and also delivers that certain fidget and play factor - which makes this pen something very special.
The K.I.D. cal .50 is offered in a variety of materials that carry a very different character. Brass is relatively heavy, feels pleasantly substantial, and develops a beautiful patina over time. Titanium appears very elegant, light, sturdy and always a popular premium option in the EDC community. Aluminum is also very light, offers all the advantages of the design, but is clearly easy on the wallet.

Böker Barlow Prime Expedition
compact pocket knife in classic look
N690 steel blade and Micarta handle scales
Handmade in Solingen
Off to new adventuresWhich pocket knife Ernest Shackleton had in his pocket when he set off on his Impirial Trans-Antarctic Expedition in his ship, the Endurance, in 1914, we don't know for sure, of course. But we like the idea of thinking it might have been the new Böker Barlow Prime Expedition. The name of this knife exudes the charm of the great voyages of discovery of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and indeed this pocket knife would certainly have made a faithful companion on such a voyage.
The Barlow Prime pays homage to the Barlow knives, which were imported to the United States from Europe as early as the 18th century. Thus, at the turn of the century, the first Barlows also appeared in Böker's lineup.
The Barlow Prime is clearly based on one of the knives of that time and is - just like in the past - completely manufactured in Solingen. Typical for this type of knife are the two bolsters made of solid brass, which are a little shorter on this Barlow variant than on the American representatives of its kind. This has the advantage that the weight is reduced a little. For the handle material, Böker have opted for a classic green Micarta, which together with the brass bolsters gives a great look. The small shield with the Böker logo is also embedded in the handle.
Böhler's N690 steel is used for the blade, which is highly resistant to rust thanks to its high chrome content. Towards the tip, the blade was given a ricasso on the back of the blade, which makes for a racy but equally classic look. To prevent the blade from accidentally folding, the slipjoint spring engages another time at 90 degrees.
All in all, Böker have brought a great version of a true gentleman's knife classic back to life here. The Barlow Prime is a pocket knife that is just as versatile as it is elegant. Whether in the pocket of a fur jacket or the pocket of a sailor's pants - with this knife you get a companion that is ready for any adventure.
