The meeting of solid craftsmanship and modern design creates the Spyderco Smock, a knife no good collection should be without. The Spyderco Smock shines with its finely crafted hollow-ground blade made of CPM S30V steel, which is a subtle marriage of traditionalism and modernity.
It features Spyderco's signature round hole as well as an elegantly integrated flipper opener.
A pair of measure-machined ball bearing pivot washers and a separate detent mechanism allow the knife to be operated effortlessly and independently of the lock.
Here, less is clearly more.
What really sets the Smock apart, however, is the push-button release of its high-strength compression lock mechanism. This allows for safe and easy closing of the knife without having to get your fingers near the edge of the blade.An innovative feature that sets the Smock apart from other knives.
This knife's lightweight, skeletonized handle features full stainless steel liners, textured carbon fiber/G-10 laminate scales and a reversible, tip-up pocket clip for ambidextrous comfort. The "speedholes" give the handle a modern shape that fits universally.

Foldable kitchen helperThe Spyderco Kapara is a design by Australian knifemaker and designer Alistair Phillips. The idea behind this slim clunker was to build a knife that was a good EDC size on the one hand, but also cut really well and could be used primarily in the kitchen.
While Phillips is by no means a vegetarian, he had primarily cutting fruits and vegetables in mind when designing the Kapara. This consideration pays off completely: first of all, there is the slim but nevertheless very well in hand handle with a 3D milled carbon scales. Accessible on the back of the handle sits Spyderco's famous Compression Lock closure, which is considered one of the safest locking systems around and is very easy to use thanks to its position. In reference to the red-backed spider (Kapara Spider) native to Australia, the knife was given a red backspacer made of G10, which makes for a visual eye-catcher.
The blade is - typical for Spyderco - made of CPM-S30V steel, which is not only very resistant to rust and fruit acid, but also keeps the sharpness for a long time. So that the knife is easy to clean, a grippy jimping was deliberately omitted. Instead of ball bearings, phosphor bronze washers were installed for the same reason, which are also very easy to clean. A small feature is that the Kapara is equipped with a bushingsystem, similar to the Chris Reeve Sebenza. Here, the blade does not just run on an axle, but on a bushing, which provides for an improved and smoother blade run.
The fully raised flat grind provides excellent cutting properties that ensure effortless work, not only in the kitchen. Spyderco and Alistair Phillips have delivered here together with the manufacturing plant in Taiwan an incredibly good, very high quality pocket knife, which knows how to fully convince in everyday use. Thanks to the convertible wire clip, the 96 gram knife disappears discreetly in the pocket and thus hardly wears on.

The hollow ground Wharncliff blade of the SwayBack is made of CTS® XHP stainless steel and has a stonewashed finish. The blade is held stable by solid titanium handle scales and a Reeve Integral Lock (frame lock).For the clip, Spydero has opted for polished stainless steel. This is convertible, which could be interesting for left-handers.
