Quite feisty....
Justin Lundquist designs are always something special when it comes to modern pocket knives. While the original version of the Feist was still quite compact, with the Feist XL you get a really full-grown pocket knife that bears the typical signature of Justin Lundquist.
The handle is kept absolutely straight and designed so that it almost completely "swallows" the blade. The Deep Carry Clip ensures that the Feist disappears completely in your pocket without one end of the handle "slipping out". The Feist XL is available with Micarta handle scales (green or natural) and Richlite. This is a composite material made from paper and has been used for over 70 years in aerospace, industry and gastronomy.
To open the blade, a gentle press on the front flipper is all it takes for the 4V steel blade to shoot out of the hilt. When you take your Feist XL out of the package, you will notice that there is a very fine film of oil on the blade. This is intentional, as the CPM-4V steel is an incredibly tough but not quite stainless steel.
Matching the green Micarta, you get a blackened blade, while the other two variants were provided with a stonewash finish.
