The long barrel is made of very light but very sturdy aluminum, and features longitudinally running indentations that give the pen a slight art deco look. While the clip end (which is also the unscrewable cap) has a lanyard hole, the handle end runs to a point, making it suitable for use as a glass breaker. The grip with the F-nib feels good in the hand and thanks to the light weight, even longer texts can be written comfortably despite the size of the fountain pen.
