Böker Plus Shamsher black G10

Böker Plus Shamsher black G10

  • Timless automatic
  • Darriel Caston (D Rocket) and Stan Mojzis (Brno Born)

  • Very EDC friendly

Handy automatic

The switchblade itself is a bit out of fashion, especially here in Germany. But jumpers have a long tradition - maybe your grandfather had a small automatic?

Böker Plus now bring a great, traditional switchblade knife on the market. The model Shamsher was created in collaboration with designers Darriel Caston (D Rocket) and Stan Mojzis (Brno Born) , whose Customs you may already know. The Shamsher is with 12cm total length a really compact pocket knife, which fits perfectly in the small coin pocket of your jeans. A clip was deliberately omitted due to the small size.

Unlike many modern switchblade knives, which often open at the push of a button, the spring mechanism of the Shamsher is activated by a small lever on the back of the blade. If you're wondering at first that this mechanism is a bit difficult to operate - don't worry: for one thing, you'll quickly develop a feel for exactly where your finger needs to apply pressure to the lever, and for another, this ensures that the knife won't accidentally open in your pocket. The D2 tool steel blade fires out of the hilt with plenty of oomph and locks into place with a clean liner lock when open. For a more sporty look, the Spearpoint blade has been given a large swedge that extends to the blade tip. The handle scales are made of black G10 for a timeless look.

If you generally like automatics but often find the look too tacticool, the Böker Plus Shamsher is a great alternative. The timeless and elegant look, make the model a great EDC knife.
